Tesamorelin / Bundle
Chemical & Structural Information
• Product type: Four-unit bundle of the same tesamorelin research peptide
• CAS Number: 218949-48-5
• Molecular Formula: C221H366N72O67S
• Molecular Weight: approximately 5,136 g/mol
• Structure: 44-amino-acid GHRH analogue based on the natural human GHRH sequence.
What It Is
Tesamorelin is a synthetic version of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Researchers use it to study how
the pituitary gland controls growth hormone (GH) and the downstream hormone IGF-1. This bundle contains the
same molecule as the single tesamorelin product.
Research Focus
• Growth hormone signalling - studied for its ability to activate GHRH receptors and increase natural GH release.
• IGF-1 - GH signalling can increase IGF-1, which is involved in growth and metabolism.
• Visceral fat - clinical research has examined changes in deep abdominal fat in specific patient groups.
• Metabolism - studies have also measured lipids, glucose-related markers and liver fat.
How It Is Studied
Tesamorelin does not act as growth hormone itself. It sends a signal to GHRH receptors in the pituitary gland, which can then release the body's own GH.
Glossary
• GHRH: A natural signal that tells the pituitary gland to release growth hormone.
• Pituitary gland: A small gland in the brain that releases hormones.
• IGF-1: A growth-related hormone influenced by GH.
• Visceral fat: Fat stored around organs inside the abdomen.
